The meeting

Endorsed the minutes of the third steering committee meeting. Endorsed American Samoa to be represented in the Steering Committee (SC) of the Pacific Regional Data Repository (PRDR) and accepted Mr Sione Lousiale Kava’s offer to be the focal point in American Samoa for the PRDR. Noted the further developments and progress of the PRDR since its launch during the SIDS Conference at Samoa in September 2014. Agreed to recommend to Ministers that SPC permanently host the PRDR and for the SC to be discontinued and its role be taken over by the PEAG meeting.  Noted the status of the funding support from the World Bank, with follow-up discussions to be undertaken with SPC on a Technical Assistance to the PRDR.  Noted the update on the Russian funds which is still under consideration, with ESCAP to follow-up with the team in Bangkok on the status of the funding.
