Renewable energy options and energy efficiency schemes for ACP parlimentarians

The e-Parliament : The e-Parliament is a new global forum for democratic legislators from across the political spectrum. It was designed to deal with a wide range of issues. Its purpose was to help spread and implement good policy ideas. The main set of issues that we have taken up to begin with is climate, energy and ecosystems. Three immediate objectives are: 1. Encourage Pacific Legislators and Governments to improve legislation and governance regarding energy, including renewable energy, and particularly regarding access to energy for the poor. 2. Organise and follow-up on international parliamentary hearings on energy policy to be held in the Pacific region in 2009 and 2010. 3. Assist legislators from the Pacific to participate in international parliamentary hearings in the Caribbean in 2008 and Africa in 2010.
